How we choose what to recommend
Free official resources come first. When we list a paid product, we label how far we checked it, and we tell you when a link earns us a commission.
| Check | What passes |
|---|---|
| Claims | No guaranteed outcomes. The sales page does not contradict its own fine print. |
| Safety | Anything involving water, batteries, fuel or chemicals includes clear safety warnings. |
| Refunds | A written refund policy with a time window and a way to contact the seller. |
| Identity | A real, checkable person or company. No pen names. |
| Sources | Key claims point to a source we can read. |
| Marketing | No fear, conspiracy or fake-urgency tactics in the seller's own affiliate material. |
| Track record | No credible reports of unpaid refunds or harm, and enough history to judge. |
| Hands-on | We read or test the product ourselves. Until we have, the card says "Not yet read by us". |
Two labels you may see
- Reviewed: we read or tested the product itself.
- Not yet read by us: we checked the public sales page, refund terms, seller information and the seller's affiliate rules, but we have not read the product. The card lists what is still open, such as a new seller or no named author.
If a product fails a check after we read it, we remove it.
What we will not do
- Invent testimonials, reviews or viewer comments.
- Hide that a link is an affiliate link.
- Promise results, or use fear to sell.
- List something without saying how far we checked it.
